Pop your gold on any digital scale (kitchen scales are fine). Weigh each carat separately if you can — the hallmark inside a ring or on a chain's clasp tells you the carat: 375 = 9ct, 585 = 14ct, 750 = 18ct, 916 = 22ct. Remove stones' weight guesswork by telling us about any set stones — we value those separately.

1 · Pack it properly
- Wrap items in tissue or bubble wrap so nothing rattles.
- Use a small, plain box or padded envelope — no branding that hints at contents.
- Include a note with your name, phone number, email and your calculator estimate or quote reference.
2 · Send it insured
- Use Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm — it's tracked, signed for, and insurable up to £2,500.
- For higher values, split into multiple parcels or contact us first to arrange collection.
- Keep your proof of postage and tracking number.
3 · Get paid same day
- We text or call you the moment your parcel arrives.
- Items are weighed and tested on camera; we confirm your final offer by phone or WhatsApp.
- Accept, and payment is sent by instant bank transfer. Decline, and your items go straight back — insured.

⚖ Every item is tested — please read before sending
All items are professionally tested on arrival (acid, electronic and X-ray fluorescence testing where needed) before any offer is confirmed. Hallmarks alone are not taken as proof of purity. If an item is found to be plated, filled, counterfeit or otherwise not the precious metal described, no offer will be made for it — and any return postage for such items is at the sender's cost. Sending items you know to be fake while representing them as genuine gold, silver or platinum is fraud, and suspected fraudulent submissions, including forged hallmarks, are reported to the police along with the sender's details. Honest mistakes are never a problem — if you're not sure what you have, just tell us and we'll test it for free.
